The gospel of Matthew ends with Jesus giving his followers a clear instruction: Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations. But in Acts chapter 1, Jesus told them to WAIT! The reason for waiting was that they needed the power of the Holy Spirit to do the job that Jesus had called them to do.
The same thing is true for us today. The power of God for ministry isn't optional equipment; the Holy Spirit's presence and power is normal New Testament Christianity.
Many believers need to be filled with God's Spirit and empowered for ministry. And for many believers who have been experienced, known, and enjoyed the power and presence of God - it's time to be refilled. What God did in the past was great; todayit is time for a fresh encounter with God.
